HTC’s New Lightbulb Can Save Your Life

#HTC plans to build smart bulbs that are more intelligent and useful compared to the current generation which can help save human lives.

The new generation lightbulb uses smart technology from the HTC VR headset that helps you to be aware of your surroundings.

The smart bulb has sensors built-in to detect movements of a person in a room that are currently used by HTC Vive VR Headset.

The sensors can help detect if a person in a room has fallen down and needs emergency.

The idea is to help protect elderly individuals who suffer falls more commonly in the bathroom and needs assistance or even if a person is sitting in a room for a long time.

The smart bulb uses motion detectors and specific set of rules to detect such incidents whether the person has fallen down but is stuck in a position that he/she cannot move or just has fallen down and needs assistance. The smart bulb will then activate a moving antenna to determine if the person is dead or alive and then contact someone for help.

The smart lightbulb is still in the patent stages as HTC plans to use its Vive VR technology in other areas to help homes be safer in the future.

HTC has signed a $1.1 billion deal with Google to unfold this kind of tech like Nest Cameras.
