FavoriteLoadingBookmark

DJI, the Chinese drone manufacturer recently introduced a new technology namely AeroScope which can identify and monitor airborne drones inlcuding Phantom 4, Phantom 4 Pro, Mavic, Spark etc.

AeroScope will connect using the existing communications link between a drone and controller to provide identification information of the drone including its registration or serial number and other information such as its location, altitude, speed, and direction.

The new technology is mainly for authoritative bodies like the police and security companies who will use the information to monitor and track the drones.

AeroScope is compatible with current drones offered by DJI, which is around two-thirds of the total civilian drone market.

With this technology, security companies will be able to keep Drones away from Airports and other private locations.
