DJI has upgraded its product line of the Mavic Pro & Phantom 4 Pro’s hardware and new software to the tiny DJI Spark. DJI revealed the new Mavic Pro Platinum which features a Platinum paint job, 11% more flight time and 60% less noise, while the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian (shiny, black) has a matte-gray finish.
DJI has been able to update the Mavic Pro via new electronic speed controllers and brand new propellers. For existing Mavic Pro owners, they can benefit by replacing their propellers with new ones which are backward compatible.
The Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian is basically a color change, though it does have a new magnesium, electroplated gimbal that’s supposed to prevent fingerprints.
And finally, the DJI Spark users gets to produce Panorama images with a fisheye effect they can share right out to social media sites. That’s going to come to the drones via a firmware update, pushed via the DJI GO 4 mobile smartphone app.
The new Mavic Pro Platinum and the Phantom 4 Pro Obsidian will be available for shipping end of September at BongoGadgets.com
