DJI announced a new model Phantom 4 Advance, which offers many of the features of Phantom 4 Pro at a reduced price.
Compared to the original Phantom 4, the Advanced adds a 1″ 20MP sensor, mechanical shutter on the on-board camera. Phantom 4 Advance is also capable of shooting 4K video at 60 frames per second. It supports H.264 4K video at 60 fps or H.265 4K at 30 fps.
The new drone comes with features that we’ve already seen on the original Phantom 4, such as Draw, Active Track, Tap-Fly, Gesture and Tripod. The Phantom 4 is also equipped with DJI’s Flight Autonomy system that uses 5 vision sensors, a forward-facing obstacle avoidance system, dual-band satellite positioning and ultrasonic rangefinders. It has advanced flight autonomy systems like Active Track, Tap-Fly, Return to Home, and Draw.
Equipped with the Flight Autonomy system made up of 5 vision sensors, dual-band satellite positioning (GPS and GLONASS), ultrasonic rangefinders and redundant sensors, Phantom 4 Advanced is able to hover precisely in places without GPS and fly in complex environments. The dual forward vision sensors can see as far as 30m out in front, and enable auto brake
